P-90 Single Coil Pickup

Legendary Tone

First introduced in the early 1950s, Gibson's legendary P90 single coil pickup produced a raw powerful tone that helped define the blues and rock and roll in their formative years. Today, the P90's traditional combination of high output and brilliant tone is still considered a favorite among many top musicians. Known by such familiar nicknames as the 'Soapbar' and the 'Cobalt,' the P90 still cuts through any type of music, all while displaying amazing tonal sensitivity for everything from blues and rock to mellow jazz riffs. It's perfect as a vintage replacement, and features vintage, braided two-conductor wiring. It's also fully wax potted to eliminate any chance of unwanted microphonic feedback.

Epiphone Casino Coupe

Nashville, TN (May 23, 2014) -- Epiphone, the House of Stathopoulo and the working musicians’s favorite instrument maker, welcomes two new additions into its already legendary line of guitars, basses, and bluegrass instruments--the Casino Coupe and the LP Express. Look for Casino Coupe and the LP Express in Summer, 2014.

“Our fans continue to inspire us everyday,” said Epiphone President Jim Rosenberg. “The Casino Coupe and the LP Express are only the first in a new line of instruments that our fans have been asking for--classic looks and modern sound.”

Casino Coupe
The Casino Coupe is the legendary Casino reborn in an ES-339 body size. It’s a racecar coupe-sized version of the iconic hollowbody that for 50 years has powered hits by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, and now Gary Clark Jr. The Casino Coupe comes with all of the Casino’s trademark features including Epiphone P-90R (neck) and P-90T (bridge) Dogear pickups. And now the Casino’s unique hollowbody design is made smaller for easy strumming and travel. The Casino Coupe comes in Cherry, Natural, and Vintage Sunburst color finishes.

Epiphone LP Express

LP Express
The LP Express is another new design from the House of Stathopoulo featuring the trademark curves of the Les Paul--the most famous electric guitar in the world--made smaller for younger players and easy travel. The LP Express comes with an all-Mahogany body with a bolt-on Maple neck, a full-size neck with 22” scale length, Rosewood fingerboard, and a flush-mounted, 1-piece fully adjustable bridge and tailpiece combination. The LP Express is voiced by two Epiphone designed ceramic humbucking pickups, a 650R in the neck position and a 700T in the bridge. The LP Express comes in both Ebony and a Vintage Sunburst color finish.

All Epiphone’s instruments come with Epiphone’s Limited Lifetime Warranty and Gibson 365/24/7 customer service. Visit Epiphone.com for more information on these and other new models for 2014 and check out the photos below.
