Hat Trix grieves for the opportunities we have had to miss in meeting our customers during this lockdown period. If you are dropping into our virtual shop during this autumn 2020, you are most welcome. It continues to be a really tough time for us all, living and working at home for our health’s sake. It may be that your family or friends have been planning weddings for the last year and those events have had to be postponed. That is disappointing for everyone involved and perhaps has been painful on your purse too! At Hat Trix we are truly sorry and empathise with your disappointment and unhappiness. As we write it is the end of September …. some weddings have gone ahead with a very small number of guests.

Hats and headpieces for hire

This is our new service for this year. Any of our hats can be hired on request by telephone. A standard daily fee will apply plus a deposit based on the value of the item being hired. Of particular interest might be those items that have matching clutch bags which, like many headpieces, are used only once. Why not hire a duo instead.

A customer recently approached us for help and advice. Her plea was heart-felt!

Hat hire and Hat purchase for all occasions and functions. We have more than 500 Hats, Hatinators and Fascinators on display in our shop, many of them have been designed by our in house Milliners.

A key advantage of having our own Milliners allows us to provide a premium service. Should you see something you like, but it’s not in the colour you require, we can normally make it for you. That said we pride ourselves in having an extremely high percentage off ladies will find what they are looking for in our shop or online.

We pride ourselves in providing Hat Hire is for all occasions. Hat hire for Essex and throughout the UK, although we do supply a Hat Hire service in Europe and even customers in the USA.

Our website caters for Hat Hire as well as outright Hat purchase, if you wish.

As part of our complete offering we also provide a shoe colour matching service. We have an in house shoe dye department that can dye any one of our 150 styles of dyeable shoes to match your outfit or chosen hat colour, as well as a bag. This service takes around 2-3 weeks but can be done express on a 2 day turn around if needed.

Our Shop in Essex

Our shop is very easy to find on the main A13 London road in Hadleigh, Essex. There is parking round the back of our store this is one space and is marked as “Hadleigh Hats”. There is also off street free parking either side of our shop in Ash Road and Castle Road. Our store has disabled facilities with wheel chair access.

We are attached to our sister shop Wedding Nites. In this store we do all the brides accessories, lingerie, shoes, veils, furs, jewellery, hosiery in fact everything other than the wedding dress!

We are here in store to make things easier, we appreciate it can be a stressful time so we do our best to offer a relaxed enjoyable experience for you and will look forward to welcoming you. As we do get very busy we always suggest an appointment this ensures you get one to one time with an adviser and a fitting room for your personal use.
